"Pretty soon we'll have to fly naked!" The mass media rapidly embraced the UK terror storyline fed to them. The BBC, CNN, CBC Newsworld and other all-news broadcasters covered scarcely anything but the narrowly averted catastrophe throughout the day. Funny thing, but the general public wasn't buying it. The reaction was surprisingly cynical...

Since his return home to the Steel City last fall, the local line on Bishop David Zubik has been simple and consistent: "He's everywhere." And from random, low-key diners to Masses of all sorts, and even a recent surprise call-in to a talk-radio show when the diocese came up, the finding's pretty well verified. I have not watched the movie yet (coming soon to a theater near you) but I have played the movie tie-in on the Nintendo DS. Yeah, you might say that it is another month and yet another movie tie-in but I’ve noticed that Wall-E is following the same trend as Iron Man DS and Speed Racer The Video Game.
Dallas transit agency loses to homeowner in court

A Dallas homeowner has been fighting Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) for $5,000 that he claims the agency owes him because it caused flooding to his rent house. Finally, the 89-year-old won the case, but DART is appealing. Also, e-mails uncovered from the former chair of DART reveal a disturbing trend within the agency.
